Listening for God's Guidence

Hi everyone,

I hope you have all had an amazing weekend! I sit here reflecting on life and how most of the time it doesn't go exactly as planned. That usually happens because we are making our own life plans and leaving God's plans out. It took me a long time to figure out what plans God wanted for my life, and to finally start to follow them. A lot of us set out to do good and plan a good and happy life. But we realize that just because our intentions are good, things do not work out the way we want them to. that is when we realize that our own plans do not work because they are exactly that, our own plans, not God's. It took a lot of reading my Bible, and much, much praying to hear God's voice. Since I have been following God's plan, I have been blessed beyond belief. I do not try to understand what He wants of me, I just do it. My life is not perfect and God has a lot of work left to do in me, but I am here listening for my next instruction from Him. My hope is that each of us can really hear God speak to us, and start taking directions from Him, regarding our lives. As I have said before, as long as you are breathing at this moment, it is not too late. Don't put off today, what you may not have chance to do tomorrow. We will never be perfect like Christ, but we can sure try! Learn how to hear God's voice. It will be the best decision you will ever make. I know it has been mine. >Proverbs 3:5-6 (5)Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; (6)in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. Have a great week ahead everyone, and talk to you all soon! Jackie

Teaching our daughters to love and respect themselves

Check out this website, for building self-esteem in your daughters
Toolkit & Resources for The Dove® Movement for Self-Esteem

When I was growing up, I had horrible self esteem and body image issues, that carried on well into my twenties and then again since I have been in my 30's. I have finally started to love and respect myself. I have also learned to forgive myself for all of my mistakes, with God's strength. I didn't feel pretty, and I didn't feel worthy of much. I was called fat by someone very, very close to me, among other things. I swore I would never do that to my kids, because it affected me more than anyone will ever know. Now that I am at peace with myself, and have become a confident woman, it is time for me to instill confidence in my daughters. I want them to be strong, confident women, and I don't want them to reach that confidence when they reach their 30's, like me. My oldest daughter is already worrying about her weight, not because anyone that has been a role model in her life has told her so, like with me, but maybe more because of how society views a beautiful, confident woman. I want my daughters to know that they are beautiful inside and out, and that the most important beauty comes from within. With God's guidance and direction, I hope to instill that in them. I don't want my daughter to see herself in any way but a positive one. This social mission that Dove has started is a wonderful way to reach out to your daughters and help them to build good self-esteem and body image. It has different activities you can do with your daughters, advice, discussions, and a classroom you can visit. I know God and this site will help me and my mom instill these wonderful values in these girls, I hope you all find it useful. Remember, that we don't want our kids to have bad self-esteem issues, it's never too late to start trying to instill confidence in them. I wish you all a happy and fun-filled weekend, with god at the center. God bless you all and Talk to you all soon!

Changing Seasons

Hi everyone,

I know it has been a while since I wrote to you all! I am very sorry. It has been a very busy time in my life, changes, and readjustments to a changing, yet familiar, life. My move has been pretty successful. We are not quite finished yet, but we are getting there. In the midst of our own move, we have been helping with my the moving of my Grandparents things out of their house. They passed away within 2 and a half months of each other last year, after 63 years of marriage. They had a 3 story house that they shared for the last 20+ years. We were blessed to be given my grandparents whole bedroom suit, that they had for as long as I can remember. We were also given their kitchen table and chairs, and a refrigerator, we desperately needed. A big thank you to my Uncle Bobby, Aunt Elisia, and my dad. I have very fond memories of them, and now I am surrounded by furniture that they used for most of my life, warming my heart with great memories, and keeping their spirits alive within me. Stifling through their things, and finding journals my grandmother had kept through the years, including one that she wrote as she met and started dating my grandfather, have been very touching and sentimental to me. Learning of my grandparents growing love for each other so many years ago, was a blessing for me. I love to read love stories, especially the ones of my own family. I finished reading a love story written by Karen Kingsbury this morning, it was the last in a series of four books, and it really inspired me and reinterated how much I want to live my life for Christ. I look forward to getting back into the routine of writing to you all again. I am just starting an English Composition class at school, and I hope it will teach me to be a better writer. Speaking of school, I just finished my Psychology class with an A, and a 4.o GPA. I feel really good about the direction my life is taking me and God's plans for my future. Jeremiah 29:11 "I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" I know I can trust the Lord with my life! Talk to you all soon! Jackie

Overwhelming Emotions

Happy Friday everyone,

I am feeling overwhelmed with emotion this morning, with happiness and sadness. Alexandria and Kyliyah have been through so much in the last two weeks, possibly witnessing the murders of their mother and older sister, or even just knowing that they were killed by someone they loved and trusted. They witnessed him commit suicide, which could have been the third death that they witnessed in a two week time. All three, being people they loved and cared about. It is going to be a long and painful recovery for these two little girls, and I will continue to pray for them always. I hope that they will be able to have a full and happy future, and trust that God will take care of them. I don't know why this happened, why three people had to die, but I do know that God gave those two little girls their mom and sister as angels to watch over them and get them home safely. Unfortunately, we can't take back things we do or say. That is why we must make the right decision all of the time, because there is no going back. We can control our thoughts and actions, and when we accept the Lord into our lives, making the right decision won't seem so hard. Those little girls should have never gone through what they did and knowing what lies ahead for them is heartbreaking. I hope everyone understands that those girls lost three people that they loved and cared about, and them just trying to understand why one of those people is responsible for their loss and pain is going to be excruciating for them. Let's try to remember that for their sake. I hope you all hug your babies a little tighter, and tell them you love them even more. Please keep Alexandria, Kyliyah, and their families in your thought and prayers throughout this difficult time. Be considerate, because these girls will probably make their way to the internet eventually, and try to read everything that has been written about them and this tragedy. I hope you all have a wonderful and safe weekend! T
alk to you soon!

Bain Sisters Found Alive, Adam Mayes Commits Suicide

Bain Sisters Found Alive, Adam Mayes Commits Suicide

Praying For The Missing Bain Sisters!

****UPDATE****UPDATE****UPDATE**** May 10,2012 Sisters Alexandria and Kyliyah Bain have been found ALIVE! Adam Mayes has died from a self inflicted gunshot wound to the head earlier Thursday evening, when a special operations team from the Mississippi Highway Patrol and officers from the state Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks started to approach and apprehend him. This comes after an almost 2 week search of the girls along with their mother Jo Ann Bain and older sister Adrienne Bain, both killed by Mayes on April 27th, according to Mayes wife Teresa Mayes, who has been charged with First Degree Murder and Kidnapping. i just want to say Thank you Lord! I knew you would hear all of our prayers and you did! Thank nyou so much for sparing the lives of those 2 young girls!! Please keep the girls and their families in your thoughts and prayers, as they are now in for a long and painful recovery following the trauma they have been through and the loss of their mother and sister. This is far from over for them and we need to remember that. Thanks to all who shared this story, and helped get these girls home safely! ,
Hi Everyone
I wanted to write a quick post on a subject very different from what I normally write about. On April 27, 2012, a mother and her three daughters went missing from their Whiteville, Tn home. Unfortunately, the mother and oldest daughter were found killed, and the two younger daughters are still missing. The suspect is considered a family friend, who has spent a lot of time with this family, someone they trusted. The mother, Jo Ann Bain, was 31 years old, and the oldest daughter, Adrienne Bain, was 14 years old. Their bodies were found buried in a shallow grave, in the backyard of Adam Mayes in Guntown, Ms. The two younger daughters are thought to still be alive and with Adam Mayes. They are Alexandria Bain,12, and Kyliyah Bain,8. He has been added to the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List.
Please be on the lookout for him and these two sweet, innocent babies. He is being searched for in Mississippi and Tennessee. He may have altered his appearance by cutting his hair and coloring it a darker color, and may have also altered Alexandra and Kyliyah's appearance. It is believed that they may be traveling in a white Alero, like the one pictured below. Share this post and get these pictures out to anyone you may know or can reach. Let's help bring these angel's home to their family. Also, please show your support by wearing a green ribbon, posting the green ribbon above to your Facebook profile pic, and also, by leaving your porch light on until these babies are brought home safely. The color green is being used because it is the favorite color of the two sisters. Thank you, and I will be back to my regular blog soon! Until then, let's pray for this family and these little girls to be found!

Push Yourself because your Capabilities are Limitless!

Hi Everyone,

I hope your weekend is going great! Today I want to talk about our capabilities and our dreams and goals. First, I want to say that our capabilities are limitless. We are capable of so much, most of us don't ever realize. We hold ourselves back by our thoughts. We often have thoughts of "I can't do it" and "it's impossible". We tell ourselves that our dreams are not within reach and so, they stay out of reach and only our unrealistic dreams. We make so many excuses. We are in our own way. Nothing should hold us back from living the life we want to live and that we were meant to live. Let the negative thoughts go, once you do that and decide to only focus on positive thoughts, you become capable of anything. You are limitless. Push yourself, regardless of difficulties and challenges you may face along the way. Decide nothing will deter you from achieving your dreams. You can transform your negative thoughts into positive thoughts. It is all up to you! You can enable yourself to have a fulfilling life by focusing on positive possibilities. You start with small changes each day. Those small changes will lead to bigger changes and before you know it you are living the life of your dreams. It won't happen overnight. You have to decide to start taking those baby steps. No one ever ran before they walked. So, set small and short term goals that will lead you to your big and long term goals. Take one goal and one day at a time. You will see a change in your circumstances before you know it. Be patient, Be Positive, Stay Focused, and Set Goals! Change your negative thoughts, situations, and influences into positive thoughts, situations, and influences. You are in control of your life. Our lives, up to this point, are a result of decisions we have made throughout them. Stop blaming others for your circumstances and take action to change your circumstances. Start today, go out there and start living the life you want! Your capabilities are limitless, You are in control! Have a great weekend!

Peace that always is

Hey everyone,

I hope you are all having a beautiful day! Today I just wanted to share a few things that I found on my Facebook. One is a prayer, that I have prayed many time(in my own words) and probably will many more through out my life! It is beautiful! A couple of others are just words of inspiration, written by others! I hope you all enjoy them and I hope they mean something to you! Also, please remember God as you spend this Friday and Weekend!
I will never let the world change me; I just want the world to love with me. You are life’s greatest gift; give your heart, your soul, and your truth to life gifting the beauty of your love for all. Never take life for granted, appreciate the beauty that life has given you. It is time to dream of a better life; it is time to live a better dream. Never let life control you, you take control of your life. True love can be so easy to find, seek within the beauty of your heart and let’s love forever. Gift your love for our love, we are all one love ~♥~ Lee Held
"Father, I want to thank You for the storms in my life because they make me turn to you. They keep me on my face before You. I am desperate for Your power and presence at work in my life. Anything that makes me cry out to You can be counted as a blessing. I love You, Lord, and trust You with every storm that comes my way." ~ Mary Southerland
‎"Father, I choose to believe You are faithful and will do what You promise to do in Your Word. I believe that when I lay the pain and hurt of my past at Your feet, You can and will transform it all into something beautiful. I choose to believe You will turn the broken places of my life into living illustrations of Your sufficiency and healing power." ~ Mary Southerland http://www.crosswalk.com/devotionals/girlfriends/girlfriends-in-god-april-26-2012.html
Living in victory means that sometimes you have to develop new habits. If you’ve been negative for a long time, you’ve got to re-train your thinking from “I can’t” to “I can;” from “It won’t happen” to “It will happen;” from “I’ll never get well” to “God is restoring health unto me;” from “I never get any good breaks” to “God’s favor surrounds me like a shield;” from “I’ve made too many mistakes. Having Gratitude, Peace, and Happiness

Hey Everyone, .

I hope you are all doing well. Today, I am going to talk about how I have learned to achieve happiness, peace, and gratitude. My days are filled with talking to people about my business and what we offer, and studying about adult development for school. I am learning a lot about people in both my business and in school. I am also learning a great deal about myself. I am learning that I am capable of achieving my goals, by taking them one step at a time and staying focused. I am also learning to be happy and grateful for my life and the ups and downs that I have faced. The challenging times have taught me how to start making good decisions, and the good times have taught me that making good decisions is the way I want to live my life. We are all capable of much more than we probably think. You should never place limits on yourself. You can achieve anything that you want to. You just have to be confidant, and focused. Know you can do it, and try to graciously excuse yourself from negative situations, people, and influences. Be around people that believe in you and are there to support you emotionally. Change your mindset from not believing in your capabilities and yourself, to knowing you are capable of whatever you want to do. Not all things are perfect in my life, but I am now grateful for the things that are great and the things that are not. If I didn't appreciate the bad things in my life, I wouldn't be able to grow. It makes me happier to not dwell on things that I wish I could change. But, when I do think about the things I want to change. I am taking action and steps to change those things. I am turning the negatives into positives by setting goals and, because every time I achieve a goal, I know I am one step closer to changing my circumstances. I was ready for a change. I was ready to live a happy life. That is what changed my perspective, and led me to the journey of happiness that I am on Today! People have tried to discourage me, and question me, but I decided it didn't matter what anyone else thought. You will also have those toxic people, that have not learned to be grateful for their life and be happy, become envious of your newly found peace and happiness, and try to say things to hurt you, or want to bring up your past negative behaviors to sidetrack your thoughts. This is when you "graciously step out of the negative situation or relationship" and decide to only surround yourself with the people that will appreciate your new outlook, view life in the same new way you do, and give you positive reinforcement. I hope that you all know that your capable of living this kind of life. Take one step at a time. Gratitude should be your first step. Gratitude is a very powerful feeling that can completely change your whole life. You can choose to focus on the good things in your life or you can choose to focus on the bad! It's up to you, but I hope you can learn to appreciate your life as it is now, so that you can grow into your full potential. Talk to you all soon! Have a great day!

Hey everyone, I just wanted to let you all know that I will be starting a series of blogs tomorrow, April 24, 2012, on Renewing, Reflecting, and New Beginnings. Each day I will be posting about a verse out of the Philippians Book of the Bible, and then sharing a little about each one. This will go on for 30 days. I am using this idea from my Pastor at Hope Presbyterian Church and thought it would be great to write about here on my blog. I will still be writing a regular blog also. Be thankful no matter what day of the week it is! Not just Friday!

So, it is Friday and we are all thankful for that, I know! I just have to say, as this work week ends, and we dive into another fun-filled weekend, choose to always remember to be thankful for each day that you wake up. I love the weekends, especially because I get to spend more time with my husband and kids (sometimes) depending on the weekend. Isn't it nice to be able to share quality time with your loved one's? I think we all take for granted that we will wake up again tomorrow. But, tomorrow is not guaranteed! It is important to be thankful each day that you get to open your eyes and live and also be thankful that the Lord is giving you another day here on earth so you can be all that you are destined to be. People always say "I will do this tomorrow", or "I will call so and so tomorrow" but for a lot of people tomorrow never comes. We need to be sure to never procrastinate telling the people we love that we love them. Be able to forgive because that person may not be here when you decide that it's time to forgive. And live each day as it's your last. Make an impression on this world and do it by being a good person, making right decisions, and being grateful. You never know the day you won't open your eyes and once that happens there is no going back. Don't live a life of regrets. I thank the good Lord everyday that I woke up before it was too late. Remember, stay positive! Bitterness will only make you miserable. Who wants to live like that? I know so many people have yet to meet the person that can help them see that life doesn't have to be that way. I hope I can be that kind of influence in even just one person's life. Anyway, as you all, who are reading my blog regularly, can tell I tend to ramble a lot, but I just want to say the right things to that right person. I say what I'm feeling and thinking and I really enjoy being able to share my thoughts and feelings with everyone that this blog reaches! Leave me a note if you come by sometime. I would love to know those of you that come and visit here. Also, let me know if what I am saying is meaningful to you! I also added some other pages, so check those out if you get a chance. And, if you know of a great website that shares inspirational stories or pictures I would love to know about them! Thank to all that visit my Blog and I hope you come back tomorrow! Til then I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Jackie

God's Blessings For Your Life

Hey Everybody, I hope you are all doing well today! This post is going to be about accepting God's blessings for your life. For so long, I didn't do that and I thought it was because God didn't want to Bless me or my life. I was living as though God was just suppose to fix everything I messed up. I always blamed others for everything that went wrong in my life. What a wake up call it was when I realized I was the one to blame for all my problems. WOW! I cried a lot during those days, some very sad and mad tears with myself and some very happy tears because I knew at that moment my life would never be the same! God broke through to me and He never gave up on me nor would He ever give up on any of you! The thing I want to make you understand is that God is always there by your side, never leaving, just waiting for you to accept Him into your life and just waiting for you to start accepting the blessings He has for your life. You have to be open to Him, because that is what He wants is for us to come to Him. Once you do, you will be amazed at the Blessings He brings upon you! I had an aching in my heart before I let Him all the way in. Life was very hard. I wasn't seeing the blessings right in front of me everyday, my 3 beautiful girls. Sure, I loved them more than anything, but I wasn't seeing them as the blessings they were. I was't treating them as the blessings that God intended for them to be. They were supposed to be God's saving Grace for me. Don't get me wrong I have cherished those little girls since I knew they were coming, but when you are an addict your drugs are your priority, your saving grace, what you yearn for as a physical being. In my soul what I was yearning for the whole time was God! I am very thankful for the life God has given me. I wouldn't be where I am Today if I hadn't been through the things I have. God waited for me, and He has been waiting for anyone who hasn't accepted Him and His blessings for their life! You have to be willing and ready, because God always is. Open yourself up to Him if you haven't. Those of you reading this that have know what I mean. I have so many blessings upon me right now and I am so thankful for God. I hope you all are doing Great and may God Bless YOU! Talk to you all soon! :)

Achieving My Many Goals and Dreams

Hello Everyone, I hope you all are having a wonderful day and week! I know I am! I haven't talked much about my college life so far, so I am going to share a little now. I graduated from Cosmetology School 6 months ago, and while I was going there I realized that one day I would like to own my own Salon. Unfortunately, so many Salon's, and new businesses in general, go under because maybe someone doesn't really understand what it takes to make it a success or whatever the reason may be. Anyway, I decided I would get a degree in Business Management, so I would have a better shot at making my Salon work when the time came. I started attending Ashford University about 5 weeks ago online. I love it and have learned so much already. This week is my final week in my first coarse. It feels so good to know that I can do this. I am finishing my first class with a 99.05 GPA. I am so proud of myself and so excited to start my next class. What I learned in my first class though kind of changes my plans a bit. Although, I do plan on finishing my AA Degree in Business, I found that I really want to be a Psychologist. Once I finish my AA degree, I have decided to stay and get my BA in Psychology. The Business Degree is still very important and I believe will help me to be even more successful in my Ameriplan Business. I know I have a lot of goals, but I will meet and exceed everyone of them. I have a purpose in this World and everything I am doing is part of that purpose. I just want to help people, and I know that is what I am here for. Don't ever let anyone tell you can't do something, because YOU CAN! It will take a lot of hard work for me to accomplish my goals and probably for you all too, but we can do whatever we want! We just need to have a passion burning and never let it get blown out! Keep telling yourself everyday that you can do this. Let the negative people in your life take the back seat. Don't let someone steal your dreams from you. Sometimes those negative people are the people we love the most and we can't just step away completely from the relationship, but you can choose to not let their negativity affect you and fulfilling you life purpose and dreams! I also wanted to share some good news. Today I got my first requests for interviews with me. I am really excited about that and just reinforces to me that what I am doing is going to work! I wish you guys nothing but the BEST! Are you accepting God's blessings for your life? I hope so! Please leave me a comment or sign up to follow my blog. I plan on sharing so much here! Come back to read my next blog about accepting God's blessings for your life! Talk to you guys again soon! Til then, have a wonderful day! Jackie

Amazing Grace

"Amazing Grace how sweet the sound, to save a wretch like me. i once was lost, but now I"m found, was blind but now I see....." What amazing thing to know that we can be saved and we can change our whole lives all because of the love of one Man. I love Jesus so much. My life was such a mess just a few years ago. I was suffering from addiction, had nothing going for my life, and couldn't take good care of my kids, so my mom had to. I have gone to Church off and on my whole life and there has never been a time that I didn't believe in God, but there was a period of time that I didn't live my life according to His word. Those were the worst days of my life, but those days led me to this point in my life where I am happy and doing such great things with my life. I always say I believe God's purpose for me on this earth is to help others in any way I can and I wasn't living my purpose for so long. I am so ready to fulfill my life and what God has planned for me. And I want to share it with the world. I want to scream it from the roof tops! I am that passionate about this! I know I will make a difference in someones life and I hope a lot of lives. I know also, that everything I am doing right now is going to lead me to everything I am passionate about. Ameriplan, getting my college degree, and anything else God has planned for me. I hope this blog ends up on the right person's computer screen and I hope that I can convince people to take this journey with me. It will be a powerful one, I can assure you! Remember, our lives are planned for us and all we have to do is accept it. Please accept the blessings God has waiting for you! Have a wonderful and blessed day!

I will SUCCEED! Watch me!! :)

Hi Everyone, I am really getting great training. One thing I know about Ameriplan is when they say you get wonderful training, my team is awesome! They have so many training tools. training calls, training websites, and team calls. I know if I just do what my leaders say works, I will succeed. It's amazing what I am going to accomplish with this business. I will not quit!!!! I am so excited and I am so motivated to build this business into something I know some people don't think I will or can do. I can't wait to show people what this business is all about and how much it can change someone's life. I could have started with Ameriplan 5 years ago when I first heard about it and I talked to someone with Ameriplan , but I didn't do it then.I know God has a plan for my life and I know I am exactly where I am suppose to be and exactly when I was suppose to be here. There is a reason it took 5 years for me to be a part of this AMAZING company. I am so looking forward to sharing my whole journey here with everyone. I am so passionate about this and I will SUCCEED! Til next time, Have a wonderful day and May you take God's blessings for your life! Jackie

I have a DREAM...... Do YOU?

Hi everyone, So, this is my third week with Ameriplan and it is going better! I am going through a lot of training, but I am learning so much! I can't wait to start seeing the money roll in. I am placing ads and sending emails, but I still have a fear of the phone. I know I won't be cold calling, because my leads have requested the information about starting a home business, but it still frightens me. I guess it is fear of rejection. I really believe in what Ameriplan has to offer and I see that so many people have benefited from this company by either using the benefits or working it as their home business. I know I will succeed with this business. There is too many toold available to me to fail. I really hope I can make people understand that I can help save them so much money by using the Health benefits we offer. Making money is a whole other ballgame. This company has such a great reputation and is a very solid, legitimate company. I expect to work really hard and I am making a promise to myself that I will not give up before the blessing! Because I know it is coming! I have turned my whole attitude around and I know having a positive attitude and being grateful, I will reap the benefits. it is really hard to be around someone who hasn't been able to find happiness in their life. I unfortunately have always surrounded myself with those types of people and it made me have an unhappy life. Not ever again. I will not let anyone steal my joy again! I am really excited about the path I am on and I know someone is going to want to be on the path with me. Who wouldn't want to live happily and peacefully? If you don't, then I know you don't belong on my team.
